What To Expect On Your First Appointment
Once you have called reception and booked an appointment we will email you a registration form to complete and return before we see you. If you are unable to do this please arrive 5 minutes early to your appointment so you can fill in the required form.
A detailed history of your condition will be taken before assessment. When appropriate you may need to undress to your underwear. Please bring shorts if you wish.
The assessment findings and treatment plan will be discussed with you before commencing treatment. Treatment, where appropriate will be part of the initial consultation. Follow-up treatment sessions can involve specific hands-on techniques, electrotherapy, individual exercise programmes and advice on maintaining and preventing recurrence.
Do I have to see my GP before making an appointment?
Check with your insurance company. If you are paying for treatment yourself you can make an appointment whenever you need to. If you are using medical insurance to cover the costs a GP referral is usually required. You must check with the insurance company before making an appointment.
